Sonic Origins Guide. All tricks and secrets for Sonic The Hedgehog: choose level and activate the debug mode

When Sonic The Hedgehog broke into Mega Drive in summer 1991 it was not possible to save the game or progress. However, with a simple trick we could access a secret menu and jump from the title screen to any level of the game. * In Sonic Origins it is possible to replicate that same trick and in * Vidaxtra we explain how.

How to access the Sonic The Hedgehog's secret menu

The secret menu in Sonic The Hedgehog is a bit different from the one we saw in Mega Drive, but the way to activate is quite similar: introduce a sequence of addresses on the home screen and wait for a sound to jump.

The first step is the simplest: from the Sonic Origins menu go to the island of Sonic The Hedgehog * and access the game through the anniversary mode or the classic mode.

• Once the game has begun, wait for the SEGA logo to pass and Sonic itself appears on the screen from the logo and, just below, the words press Button

Enter the sequence Up, down, left, right (↑, ↓, ←, →) with the control crossing or steering buttons. If you do well You will hear a sound *. * From there, you just have to press any control button before the game's demo begins.

The secret menu of Sonic The Hedgehog has all the options of the Mega Drive cartridge and others completely new for Sonic Origins.

For Choose any level * We move with the stick with the crosshead and select the one we want, including the bonus phases.

We can alsochoose whether to play with Sonic, Tails or Knuckes ** If we place ourselves in the Player section: 01 equals Sonic, 02 to Tails, 03 to Knuckles and 00 to Sonic and Tails.

We can also manually activate or deactivate the spin dash, as well as limit the other Sonic Sonic alternating between ON and Off. *

No less interesting is that we can add to the game * the Power UPS of all Sonic numbered games, In addition to establishing the amount of emeralas of chaos obtained at the beginning of the game.

Together with the previous tricks, in the secret menu we have access to the sound test. This allow us to listen to all the sounds of the game and, in addition, introduce new tricks before starting the game.

To introduce the tricks, it will be enough to listen to certain melodies of the Sound Test in a specific order. You do not need to listen to the entire melody: with which you begin to sound, you can go to the next. And if the trick has worked, you will also hear a special sound.
